David Pinington

David Pinington is a young 64 year old. If he isn’t attending meetings and lectures, he is playing the piano, listening to music or traveling.

David was not certain he had a hearing loss. He decided to have his hearing tested after his wife commented that he seemed to be missing parts of conversations, and the television volume was too loud for her listening comfort.

"Previously when I had a conversation, I would sometimes have to replay it in my head, like rewinding a tape, and guess at what people were saying. Now I can hear what they are saying. The programs also help substantially when I am listening to conversations in groups and in noise."

On one occasion, David removed his hearing instruments and went for a car ride with the radio on.
