Wendy B. suspects that she has had a hearing loss for most of her life. However, over the last few years, her hearing loss became more pronounced. She struggled to hear conversations, especially lower-pitched, male voices. She was also missing certain sounds like her dog barking and the door bell.

Wendy was skeptical to try hearing aids. She felt that she was “too young” to wear hearing aids, and she also worried that they would be noticeable.

“It may sound vain, but I didn’t want hearing aids to make me feel old, and I didn’t want others to know that I was wearing them,” she explains.
