| Tom
finds that his Next hearing instruments are very useful for conversations. Hearing speech is important
for Tom in his job as a chauffeur. “Before these hearing aids, I had to ask my passengers to use the
intercom to communicate with me,” Tom began. “Now, I can not only hear them without the intercom, I
can also hear other sounds that I haven’t heard in a long time, such as other car engines.” |

As a chauffeur, Tom needs to contact his dispatcher frequently. For this, Tom uses a cellular phone
to stay connected. He is very happy with how the Next hearing instruments work with his cell phone:
“The hearing aids are great. I don’t need to increase the volume on my phone or my hearing aids. It
is nice that as soon as I put my phone up to my ear, my hearing aids automatically switch into the telephone
program,” Tom related.Tom also finds the automatic program
very convenient.
“I don’t find that I have to make many adjustments,” Tom said. When he did have to make adjustments,
Tom uses a Smart Control remote: “The remote is easy-to-use, with large buttons; I don’t even have
to look at it when I am pressing the buttons. I like that I have the ability to adjust both hearing
aids at the same time with the remote,” Tom stated. |

| Tom is very happy with his hearing instruments and his improved quality of life: “I didn’t know how
much I was missing in life without hearing aids. Now, I don’t miss anything,” Tom said. |
