Paula has had a hearing loss since birth. When she was 12 years old, she tried her first set of Behind-the-Ear (BTE) hearing aids followed by digital BTEs when she was in high-school.

Paula found that these hearing aids picked up too much background noise and did not help her hear conversations. They also felt bulky on her ears and she felt that they were too noticeable.

As soon as Paula tried Unitron Hearing’s Conversa.NT Moda™ hearing instruments, she immediately noticed some positive differences. They felt light and comfortable – so comfortable that she would forget that she was wearing them.  

“I didn’t feel like I was wearing hearing aids at all until I removed them at night,” Paula said. “Everything sounded so wrong without them and I began to realize everything I was missing when I wasn’t wearing my hearing aids.”

The sound quality was also “far superior” and “very natural” compared to her other hearing instruments. When listening to conversations in restaurants and in places with background noise, Paula could hear speech more easily and clearly.

“I didn’t have to ask others to repeat themselves nearly as much, especially at work, which was great, since I work in a busy retail environment,” Paula explains.

Paula was also accustomed to close captioning when watching television. With her Conversa.NT Moda hearing aids, she did not have to use close captioning and the television volume could be turned down so it was more comfortable for others.
