Signature technologies
Powered by the Era platform, these signature features found in our new generation of hearing instruments, Quantum™ and Moxi™, deliver life’s sound the way nature intended.
SpeechZone automatically lets clients clearly enjoy conversations in the toughest listening situations.
Enabled by binaural spatial processing, SpeechZone activates maximum directionality when the hearing instruments determine that speech is coming from the front in a noisy environment. Listening automatically becomes easier as both hearing instruments really zone in on speech.
There is no need for clients to adjust their hearing instrument controls – SpeechZone is on by default in the Automatic Program.

Unitron has long been recognized for our superior automatic approach, which allows fitters to independently adjust adaptive features within different listening environments. The Automatic Program, powered by Era, has been advanced to provide more speed, intuition, accuracy and simplicity. The Automatic Program’s high resolution sensors continuously analyze listening environments and providing real-time information to the classifier, which custom blends the hearing instrument’s response, providing optimal response in changing environments.
At the heart of this intuitive response is clinically proven SmartFocus, always at work within the Automatic Program. SmartFocus optimizes the performance of directional microphones and multiple adaptive features in relation to each other, to provide the optimal level of speech clarity or comfort in response to changing situations. Going beyond directional microphones, it puts the spotlight on speech.
SmartFocus is client adjustable to provide a new level of sound customization beyond volume control and can help address difficulties with clarity, loudness and/or listening in background noise. Adjusted via the Smart Control remote or directly on the hearing instrument, this control provides clients with the ability to personalize their listening for more comfort or clarity real time in real world listening environments.

The location of hearing instrument microphones alters the natural sound quality enjoyed by people with normal hearing. For BTE hearing instruments, Pinna Effect recreates the natural acoustics of the ear’s pinna, providing a much more true-to-life directionality, particularly in the high frequencies. For ITE hearing instruments, Pinna Effect uses a combination of our digital shell making process and custom modeling of the location of the microphone in the ear relative to the ear drum to recreate the natural resonances of the ear.
An industry first, featured in all Unitron products. AntiShock eliminates the discomfort caused by sudden impulse noises, without completely removing the sounds or making them unrecognizable, while preserving speech comfort or clarity.

Wireless technologies
Era provides leading edge wireless capabilities including bi-directional, full bandwidth, real audio signals, even between hearing instruments and fast, stable wireless connections.
Binaural Phone conveniently streams audio signals from the phone ear to the other ear without a separate accessory, for clear, balanced phone conversations.

DuoLink binaurally synchronizes program or volume adjustments and can be set up to work with our easy-t feature, automatically triggering program changes in both hearing instruments.

uTV wirelessly connects TV with hearing instruments for exceptional high-quality stereo sound via uDirect.

uDirect, a neck-worn accessory that delivers audio directly to both hearing instruments for hands free enjoyment of a variety of devices such as mobile phones, GPS, TVs, FM receivers and MP3 players. One of two wireless streaming programs, uPhone or uAudio, is automatically activated when uDirect receives the appropriate signal.

Classic technologies
Customized listening programs that be changed manually.

Our multiband adaptive microphone system optimizes the most challenging listening situations with a range of directional strategies: omni directional, fixed directional, or multiband adaptive directional – for both automatic and manual programs.
Feedback manager provides more useable gain, a significantly expanded fitting range and more opportunities to fit with open styles. It detects and suppresses multiple feedback peaks faster, while maintaining superior sound.
Wind noise manager intelligently reduces gain in bands where wind noise is predominant.
Easy-DAI automatically senses and amplifies external audio devices.
Easy-t automatically switches to the telephone program when close to magnetic fields.
MyMusic is an innovative approach to tailoring clients’ personal enjoyment of music. Shape the frequency response based on clients’ listening preferences and favorite music genres: rock/pop, classical, folk, country, jazz/blues or general music listening.
Data Logging records usage data in the automatic, manual and wireless programs.
IntelliVent technology brings digital precision to customized vent shape, sizing and placement. It utilizes your client’s audiogram, ear canal acoustics and selected coupling to calculate the most advantageous venting for improved comfort and dramatically diminished occlusion. Now available in BTEs and ITEs.
